Hi, I am John from Pavo themes. Today we will introduce you the best Layout Builder for Opencart 2.0 that helps you build any layout any way you want.
A layout is built from content blocks, each content block contain rows and columns. And the content in those rows and columns are assigned from widgets.
Let’s get started.
From your Opencart 2.0 back-end, access Extensions > Modules. Scroll down and find the Pavo Homepage Builder module, hit the Edit button and you’ll be redirected to the working panel of the module.
We’re going to show you how easy it is to build a layout, in to do it in just a few minutes. These are all created layouts, you can use them or create new ones. Hit the button to add a new layout. Here we add a layout title and class to style the layout. Great, Now simply hit the button to add block in the layout. Hovering over the block you will see all the available options. Let’s edit the block settings. Here we have class style for the block, background color and an image background setting which can be set to show in full width or not. You can also set a style for the background image and its position, enable the parallax style, add margin and padding and select the row style, and then save the settings.
Now let’s hit the button to add new column. You can add as many columns as you want. And resizing the columns is incredibly easy, you can see the grid view by enable this option, this is really helpful in balancing out your layout. Now let’s assign widget instance to the column. Here are all created widget instances in your store, select any one you want to display in the column. Well done, let’s add another instance to the column. Hit the button to edit our new widget instance quickly, change the settings and save and we’re done. Do the same to create other blocks and a you’ll soon have a complete layout can look like this. You can change order of the widgets inside a block or move it to any other block in the layout. You can also change the order of blocks in a layout, just drag and drop.
Oh one more thing. You can configure the layout to be responsive across all devices. Select the device here, scroll down and configure for the layout display for the device.
Everything is working properly, so let’s save the layout.
The next step is to publish the layout in front-end. There are 2 ways to this.
1. Go to: System > Design > Layouts. And here you can edit any layout or create new one. For this tutorial, let’s customize the Home layout.
Here are the default modules used in Home layout. Let’s add a new module, assign the layout we’ve built with layout builder. Add another module to assign the banner. Now save the settings.
2. If you use Pavo themes, you can also manage the layout using the powerful theme control panel. Go to: Extensions > Modules, scroll down to find the Theme Control Module, and open its configuration panel. Now all we have to so is simply open the Layouts Management, drag and drop the layout we built with the Layout builder to the position in the layout you want to appear then save the setting and we’re DONE.
Let’s check the front-page. Oh, it looks so great. That also brings me to the end of the video overview, for more details, check it out at: pavothemes.com/theme-features
